The merSETA is following all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  All stakeholders are urged to also play their part in this offensive against the pandemic.For the COVID-19 Corona Virus South African Rescue Portal, click hereOther COVID-19 related resources:SETA COVID-19 Guidelines  |  COVID-19 Youth Relief Fund Application Form  |  COVID-19 Info and FAQsIn Line with Section 8 of The National Disaster Regulation 10, the Minister of Employment and Labour  has announced measures that the Department will put in place under the current special circumstance relating to the Corona virus (COVID-19) and its impact on UIF contributors. The Unemployment Insurance Fund will assist affected workers through existing benefits including Illness, Reduced Work Time, Unemployment and Temporary Employer/Employee Relief Scheme (TERS) benefits.  The Unemployment Insurance Commissioner, after consultation with the Unemployment Insurance Executive, has also developed a Corona Virus Temporary Employer-Employee Relief Scheme (COVID19TERS) to contribute to the containment of the Corona Virus and its impact.  Employer/s that have to enforce lockdown as regulated and who might require financial assistance from the UIF should access information regarding available funding through a dedicated mailbox: covid19ters@labour.gov.za. The process is outlined in the COVID19TERS document. URGENT NOTIFICATION - GRANT SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED


The Minister through a regulation has extended the deadline for Mandatory and discretionary grants to Friday, 31 July 2020.

merSETA informs all Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs), including Labour and employee SDFs and other stakeholder applicants operating in the merSETA Sector that the date for submission has been extended accordingly.
Stakeholders are encouraged to finalise and submit their grant applications on or before 31 July 2020 on the National Skills Development Management System (NSDMS). Labour and employee SDFs, where applicable, are advised that their sign off must occur on or before 31 July 2020.
